ARISE Comprehensive Care with Invitational Intervention®

ARISE® Comprehensive Care with Invitational Intervention is a longer-term, collaborative, strengths-based approach that addresses healing by:

  • Building a solid support network

  • Unburdening individuals from blame, shame, and feelings of helplessness

  • Offering hope and healing for the whole support network

Why ARISE?

After many years of being a clinician, psychologist, and leader, I chose to train in this model of continuing care and intervention to respond to the need for more support for families and to help persons with eating disorders and other mental health challenges be part of their own family network of support.

As part of my ARISE® Comprehensive Care with Intervention services, I support the family to work together, understand the impacts of intergenerational trauma, and develop a recovery message unique to your family and situation. I will also guide you in finding the right treatment programs and/or teams and refer you to additional resources specific to your whole family’s needs. I join with the treatment program and/or therapeutic team members and work on building a safety net upon discharge and for each transition along the recovery process.

How it works

Generally, we meet weekly or biweekly for six months, more if needed, to address any concerns, provide you with education, facilitate healing for all family members, and prepare for and respond to challenges along the way. You may think of me as the families recovery coach.

In many circumstances, getting a person into treatment is the first step, and often the simplest to facilitate. Navigating all the bumps and hurdles on the winding path to long-term recovery is incredibly challenging. You will need someone who has experience to guide you through these unexpected events. I recommend this process for persons who have had a history of challenges and whose families desire long-term healing and to function even more effectively and efficiently as a support team.
